Guillermo del Toro is easily my favorite (or tied for my favorite) modern director. He has a wicked eye for beauty and his story-telling is unparalleled. And now he’s doing a remake. Calm yourselves. I know, I know. Remakes are the devil, but this could be the first good remake since The Ring. Del Toro will not be directing, but he’ll be producing (along with Miramax - shudder). Comic book artist Troy Nixey will be directing, but you can rest assured del Toro will have a hand in the overall look of the film. Read on for why I’m so pumped.
