After some time in the dark about the happenings of John Hillcoat’s screen adaptation of The Road, we finally have some stills and behind the scenes photos. The book, best known as the novel that got writer Cormac McCarthy on the Oprah show, was a surprise commercial hit as readers ate it up (no pun intended). Surprising in the fact that McCarthy with such amazing books such as Blood Meridian and No Country For Old Men, has cut himself a swath through the literary world as one of the bloodiest modern day writers. But, because he does not write what are considered horror books, the literary community apparently thought his work palatable enough for the population at large.
