Criterion Goes Blu

Way back when we were all arguing over whether HD or Blu-Ray was better , a lot of people looked towards the king of DVD companies, Criterion, to see which format they were going to back. Their answer was simple: they had no clue either and were going to wait it out to see which one was going to become the new Betamax.

The other day, I was talking to a friend about when Criterion was going to make their announcement. Smaller niche companies, like Dark Sky and Blue Underground, had already staked their claim in the format, mere days after the announcement of HD’s demise, so I figured it would be coming any day now.
