Hey everyone. It’s Mikey B, back again with another review from my trip to the grindhouse at the New Beverly Cinema. Last night was a double bill of Cheerleaders’ Wild Weekend and Escape from Women’s Prison. Clearly, I didn’t go into this with any bit of expectation. At all. Well, before I get on with the review let me just explain how these guys managed to upset me before the films even started. The guys that run the grindhouse do a raffle, where you’re given a ticket when you pay for admission. They call out numbers, before the first movie, and give away prizes. They range in anything from movie memorabilia to booze. Last night, they gave away a Django ORIGINAL one-sheet! Who got it…some girl that stood there looking like she’d never heard of the damned thing before. FRANCO NERO BITCH! Oy vey. I let me hatred subside as the trailers started.
