While The Machine Girl is just about to be unleashed upon the US, the creative team behind it is already hard at work on a new film called Tokyo Gore Police. Yoshihiro Nishimura, the madman behind the gore effects of The Machine Girl steps up as director, while one of the writers of Uzumaki, Kengo Kaji, is helping on script. Toss in Eihi Shiina, who played the quietly deranged Asami in Takashi Miike’s Audition, as the star of the film, and bring in Versus star Tak Sakaguchi to oversee the action sequences, and you have the recipe for a future cult film in the making.
